The God Warrior Bobblehead!

One of the funniest Bobblehead "buzzes" I've heard lately has to do with some guy making and then selling a bobblehead based on a... unusual.. woman featured in FOX TV's "Trading Spuses" reality show.

I actually caught that episode when it first aired, and then was very amused to read about this eBay auction. And the story doesn't stop there...

But here's some background:

Up for auction is a custom-made bobblehead doll of Marguerite Perrin, the GOD WARRIOR Crazy mom from the latest episode of Fox's Trading Spouses t.v. series. This is the only one ever made!

The bobblehead doll has been sculpted from polymer clay and hardened. Her head actually wobbles! Doll has been hand painted with acrylic paints and is coated in a durable clear gloss finish. She's dressed in a real cloth "moomoo" black dress and shirt. She even has a real beaded necklace with silver medalion like the one she was wearing during her "meltdown" on the show.Many people were shocked and disgusted with Marguerite's behavior on the show...

And the final(?) chapter in this story happened when this woman appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

But be aware: Unfortunately the webpage (surrounding the actual quicktime video) features ads for adult dating sites - or something like that. There's no nudity as far as I've seen, but the ads are "suggestive".

The video is pretty grainy, but certainly does the job. It's the entire interview with her, with a clip from the 'Trading Spouses' episode too.

I found reports about this funny bobblehead while reading the "Bobblespheres" section of my main website. It's pretty cool because it's a collection of blog entries that mention Bobbleheads in their posts, so I'm able to stay on top of all the online chatter about Bobbleheads just by visiting that section from time to time.

Some of the listed blog entries mention Bobbleheads just in passing - i.e. they aren't posts primarily about Bobbleheads - but it's a great place for true Bobble Head fans to get their fill of Nodder related conversations on the internet. :)

1965 Twins Bobbleheads Charity Auction

Ten-player bobblehead doll sets of the 1965 Twins are being auctioned online to raise money for senior housing and services.

Ecumen, Minnesota's largest nonprofit provider of senior housing and services, is offering 25 sets of the limited-edition bobbleheads through Dec. 20 at www.ecumen.org. Also, a set of 1965 bobbleheads autographed by Harmon Killebrew, Camilo Pascual, Frank Quilici, Tony Oliva, Jim "Mudcat" Grant, Jim Perry and Jim Kaat will be offered weekly for bidding.
