Q&A about a 1961 Cardinals Bobblehead

Here are some of the most recent news items I've found that discuss (or even mention!) Bobbleheads! :)

From Redding.com Sports section...

Dear Babe: I have an original Cardinals bobble head from 1961. The doll has a green base with St. Louis printed on it. The player's face is brown and the hat is navy with the "STL" logo on it. The shirt is white with Cardinal letters in red. Steve Roberts, Durham, N.C.

Answer: Lou Criscione of www.insidetheparkcollectibles.com has just released a "Bobbing Head Field Guide." A doll with a dark face and green base should be from 1963-1965. It's valued at $750-$1,000 thanks to the fact that the dark-faced dolls are hard to find and sought by collectors. The new guide retails for $12.99 and is available at bookstores. However, you can buy it direct from Criscione's Web site -- www.insidetheparkcollectibles.com for $14 ($10 plus $4 S&H in the U.S.).
