Bobbleheads? Yes! Actually See the Game? No!

Here's an interesting anecdote by a guy who took his kids to a ball game a couple years back and noticed people were shoing up to buy the bobblehead giveway..and then turning around and leaving! :)

"...and Montreal was our first stop. This was in June 2002. We joked that when we told Canadian border agents that the purpose of our trip was to see an Expos game, we'd be immediately locked up.

Turned out it was Steve Rogers bobblehead day so there were a bunch of fans when we arrived at the statium.

But here's what's truly amazing.

Many of the 'fans' grabbed their bobbleheads and left before the game even started. Apparently you didn't have to buy a ticket to get a doll, and there was a stream of people heading out as we showed up at the ballpark.

We had great seats about 15 rows back behind home plate."
