Although I've seen this type of thing before - and Bobblehead giveaways remained as popular as ever - here's an article about a Sport franchise that won't be handing out nodders this year...

That's just one of the changes fans will see this year at Citizens Bank Park.

The team will have four to-be-announced giveaway days this season, according to John Brazer, whose official job title is Phillies' director of fun and games.

On the selected dates, every fan will receive approximately foot-high statues of team stars Jim Thome, Jimmy Rollins or Bobby Abreu. The fourth giveaway will be a Phillies-themed Mr. Potato Head.

'We feel bobblehead dolls have kind of run their course,' Brazer said. 'We wanted to do something different this year...'"
